Check out our video story!
From landfill and e-waste to green sustainable solar energy. Take a walk with us around the largest landfill in our city, where about 90% of waste that is not separated or recycled ends up. We have seen the hills that are polluting our environment. But then we headed with our product to the green hills, to the sun, where a group of mountaineers testing our SunScrap solar panel made from electronic waste spent the day on Jastrebac mountain. Our marketing director joined this group of mountaineers to take part in the test drive first hand. Our team monitors that every step you take is energy, sustainable, sunny, so step into the future with us, regardless of your location. Go green and save green with solar! The national competition of mini student companies is almost upon us! Next Monday, we expect you to join us at the fair in the Beo Shopping Center from 11 a.m. and on Tuesday at the presentation of our business idea at Hotel Jugoslavija from 12 p.m.
With us, on every step of the way was our teacher Marija Urošević, who was always there for us. Since April, a business mentor from NCR company Pavle Srdic has joined our team, who was our extra pair of eyes in preparing for the competition. "The nature of being an entrepreneur means that you fully embrace uncertainty and are comfortable being challenged on a regular basis. This team of entrepreneurs did not take "NO" for an answer! And despite all the hardships, they persevered to become creators of change and a better future for all. It was a pleasure to share the life of the company with them and just wait, you will see how they have just started to paint the world in new, more beautiful green colors!" Maria "The student company mentoring program is a real refresher - excellent organization, interesting projects, great teams. The students from Kruševac Gymnasium, team ReSorcerer, impressed me from the first moment. So much motivation, desire for success and general knowledge about project management is something I have not encountered before. Projects like this are definitely something that will define the careers of many young people in Serbia." Pavle The competition will feature 20 of Serbia's best min student companies that will compete to represent Serbia at the European competition in Istanbul, Turkey in July. See you! This is a landfill just 10 minutes drive from the center of our city. 90% of waste ends up at this landfill. Waste that is not separated and not recycled. Among the mountain of bags, furniture, and most of all, there are dryers, monitors, cash registers, pipes and other electronic waste.
We went in our business suits to show where the next business opportunity is. Landfills like this will become a gold mine once we exhaust all the natural resources the Earth has given us. Instead of throwing away, it will be used. We have to admit that it was not pleasant for us, the image of an endless mountain of waste in the middle of wonderful greenery and nature left an irreversible impression on us. One step we have taken is not small, it is one of many that will follow. The glamor of our life ends right at the landfill. Step with us towards a greener and more beautiful future by taking sustainable steps in purchasing energy. Electronic waste contains harmful substances that can pose a serious threat to the environment and human health. Many electronic devices contain toxic chemicals such as lead, mercury, and cadmium, which can leak into soil and water if not disposed of properly. Exposure to these chemicals can cause a range of health problems, from skin rashes to respiratory issues and even cancer. In addition, e-waste often contains valuable materials that can be recycled, such as copper and gold. When these materials are not recycled, it contributes to the depletion of natural resources. That's why it's so important to dispose of electronic waste responsibly, either by recycling it or by taking it to an authorized e-waste collection point. By doing so, we can help protect our health and the environment. If you want to cooperate with us and recycle your LCD monitors in a sustainable way, write to us. The ReSorcerer team is here for you! We are excited to share with you the news about the opening of a new innovation hub space for young entrepreneurs! This space is specifically designed to support and empower the next generation of innovators, creators, and business leaders that are still in the classrooms.
Located in the heart of the city, this hub space is equipped with resources to help young entrepreneurs like us to turn their ideas into reality. The space features flexible workspaces, meeting rooms and dedicated support staff to help entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. Our team got their first office space to use in the Hub, access to the technology we need to further develop our ideas. Our CEO, Julija and Head of Production, Vladeta, gave a speech at the opening of the space with a story about our mini student company and their experience in other programs in which they participated organized by JA Serbia & UNICEF Serbia. At the cocktail party, we inspired our friends and some new future young entrepreneurs to follow in our footsteps. Today it was snowing in our city, so we were not able to show our prototype, but with good weather, we plan to organize both promotions and electronic waste collection actions at our great hosts! Everything has already been agreed! The opening of this innovation hub is a significant milestone for the local entrepreneurship ecosystem. It's an exciting opportunity for young people like us to pursue their dreams, take risks, and make a difference in their communities. The hub is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all entrepreneurs, regardless of their background or experience. Overall, the opening of this innovation hub space is a promising development for the future of entrepreneurship in our city and for the future of our company. It will undoubtedly play a critical role in fostering a culture of innovation and creativity in our community. It is on! Our green idea attracted the attention of both local and national media :)
Radio Television Kruševac and Radio Television Serbia were our guests at the school. Since the filming was scheduled during class time, this time, the physics classroom where all the magic happens was left unfilmed. But stay tuned as we'll be taking a peek into the SunScrape panel development process soon. The prototype started a rain of photons that turn into great energy both in the production of electricity and in the production of great collaborations, good green energy among us all. You can watch the report on RTS 1 on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the morning program and on the RTK channel. Preparations for the national competition are underway, which we will keep you informed about. So stay tuned! Choose green and save green. The best news from the Regional Competition of Student Companies of Central Serbia, we won first place!
Our team won placement in the twenty best student companies in Serbia. The second place went to the company "OT Team", which consists of students from the Varvarin High School, who promote various tourist offers through their website Carapanska avlija. The student company "MediCandy" from the Secondary School in Lapovo won third place, and these students produce bracelets containing honey, raspberry and agar candies and represent first aid for type 1 diabetics in case of life-threatening conditions. Together with the winners of other regional competitions (Vojvodina, southwestern and southeastern Serbia, and Belgrade), we will fight for the title of national winner and representative of Serbia in the European competition of the best student companies, which will be held in July this year in Istanbul. At the competition in Kragujevac, 16 student companies from Kruševac, Kragujevac, Paraćin, Požarevac, Batočina, Knic, Lapovo, Trstenik, Velika Plana, Varvarin and Svilajnec offered their products and services, and the jury members evaluated their company reports, sales skills and uniqueness offers. The competition was organized by the Youth Achievements in Serbia organization, with the cooperation and financial support of the American Agency for International Development (USAID), the NCR Foundation, and the Ministry of Education. We had a great time, we socialized with our fellow entrepreneurs from other schools, we made new potential business contacts, and we met our future customers! Take a look at our photos and the official photos from the competition, which can only speak of the great entrepreneurial energy in Kragujevac that day :) This team of wizards is preparing hard for the regional competition of student companies of Central Serbia organized by Junior Achievement Serbia, which will be held in Kragujevac on March 30, 2023.
Preparations taught us that choosing the entrepreneurial path is not an easy option. Our life in the previous days is our company, and even during classes and small breaks. Efforts to find the best solutions for all business segments led us to establish business relationships outside the school. We found our first professional help in production at the neighboring School of Mechanical Engineering, where our friend Pavle accepted the challenge and became our first partner. The partnerships continued with the Marco winery becoming our first investor! UrbanPrint took on the role of our marketing right hand while the BUT cafeteria became our second office. In a race against time, we are developing the prototype of our first solar panel. Breaking, gluing, cutting, assembling and research have become our daily activities. We also found professional help at school, our physics teacher Sanja followed closely our calculation of photon collection. Today, it was a headache to finish the Financial Plan, the migraine was so strong that on the meeting we adopted the decision to hire an accountant with the first job expansion! The clock is ticking while we finish the final preparations for presenting our product at the stand. We are also preparing special surprises for our visitors, so see you in Kragujevac at the BIG shopping center! Sunny greetings from your ReSourcerer team! :) |
